Meet Olivia — the calm behind every beautifully connected celebration

At Red Thread Events, we believe every wedding tells a story — one woven from heritage, love, and connection. I’m here to help you tell yours with intention, warmth, and meaning.

Hi, I’m Olivia (but everyone calls me Liv).

I’m the founder and creative behind Red Thread Events, a Melbourne-based wedding planning studio dedicated to helping couples celebrate in a way that feels authentic, calm, and deeply personal.

My journey into events began long before I launched my business. With a Diploma in Event Management and hands-on experience managing large-scale industry events — including the Bocuse d’Or Australia Golden Knife 2025 — I’ve learned that success lies in both structure and soul.

Whether I’m coordinating a culinary competition or a cross-cultural wedding, my purpose is the same: to create experiences that feel effortless, emotionally resonant, and beautifully human.

Guidance that brings clarity, calm, and confidence.

As a planner, I believe weddings should never feel like a production — they should feel like home. My expertise lies in understanding people as much as logistics: blending cultures, navigating family dynamics, and designing celebrations that honour heritage while embracing modern love.

Clients often describe me as steady, thoughtful, and unflappable. I see my role as part project manager, part storyteller, and part advocate — the calm voice who helps you breathe through big decisions and find joy in the details.

“Olivia instinctively understood the fast pace of a major event and worked non-stop to ensure everything ran smoothly. Her positive energy, can-do attitude, and event management skills reflected well on everyone involved.”

Connection over perfection.

To me, a wedding is one day in a lifetime — not the pinnacle of your love story, but the beginning of your next chapter.

That’s why I encourage my couples to invest in their relationship first, and their wedding second. Once the foundation is strong, we can create something truly meaningful.

My approach combines clarity and compassion: clear systems and guidance that give you confidence, paired with heartfelt communication that keeps your day grounded in what matters most.

Because when you feel calm, everything else — from design to family harmony — falls seamlessly into place.

A few things that make me, me.

When I’m not designing timelines or creating story-rich ceremonies, you can usually find me:

  • Volunteering at my local orchard, grafting fruit trees

  • Experimenting with another kitchen fermentation project

  • Taking my “chief pawsitivity officer” on long, happy walks

  • Or, occasionally, diving beneath the surface (I recently earned my open-water diving license!)

Fun fact: I’ve even had to evacuate an aircraft before — talk about staying calm under pressure!

These small stories shape the way I work: intentional, grounded, and always ready to adapt with grace.

Let’s make your story unforgettable

We celebrate forever, not just one day.

If you’re ready to plan a celebration that feels calm, connected, and unmistakably yours — I’d love to be your guide.
